Eduring the Nonsense...again

I've had to endure it again. I'd say a week doesn't go by in which I hear someone express sympathy, apologies, or outright support for the values of communist "revolution." It's enough to make an informed person truly ill, particularly in view of the fact that those who make such blatantly stupid comments are usually at least middle class and well endowed with the play toys of capitalist abundance.

I still can't fathom the hypocrisy of millionaire film directors and entertainers who worship at the shrine of authoritarian collectivist philosophy. Micheal Moore, Oliver Stone, and George Clooney (to name just a few) would all be serving time if their faux-rebel stance against “the system” was attempted in Cuba. If they were critical of the state (“the people”) in Cuba at the start of Castro's coup de' etat, they would have likely been executed by their hero, Che Guevara.

There is plenty of information available regarding what really happened in Cuba a half a century ago. Of course, when one states the case for freedom and notes the facts regarding Castro's grasp for power, the usual response is something like, "you can't believe everything you see on the internet" or "how do you know what really happened, were you there?" Ah, ...yeah, okay, good argument. I give up, communism and imposed poverty stricken dictatorship really is a good thing (pleeease).

Anyway, this is just one really good site that critiques some of the old leftist cliche's regarding what a paradise Cuba now is since it's been driven into the ground by a typical leftist autocrat.

On an unrelated note (maybe not so unrelated), this ongoing thing about what a hero Obama is and how unfair his detractors are is getting a little old. No coincidence that the people who thought George Bush was Hitler also think B. Hussein Obama is Mother Theresa.

What idiots...
